I spent Friday afternoon, well, just two hours of it, in one of my favorite cities, Washington D.C. I walked around on this lovely fall day in the sunshine down to the National Gallery of Art and enjoyed walking around taking pictures for a little bit. I actually went to the museum with the purpose of taking pictures more than admiring the paintings. 

 D.C. is such a lovely city to walk around. 

 I really like how this self portrait turned out. 

vacation

As is our tradition my family headed up to Canada for our family vacation. And not being one much for writing. Here are the pictures.

Our dog's favorite thing to do is lay on the tube while it is tied to the dock, she'll spend hours on it.

Some of the best Canadian butter tarts. These ones are maple bacon butter tarts which are delicious despite the questionable bacon. 

This bakery is inside an old church which is right on a lake. 

My days looked liked this. Reading on the dock for hours.
